I have posted this previously, but it is finally complete! I've created my "Think Tank" version of Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude: https://lnkd.in/gTMXP67uI make these reading resources so that students of all abilities can come to class and engage in discussions or have something to say about a text we are studying. I have found that these kinds of scaffolds make Language and Literature more equitable as students can read independently prior to class and have a helping hand in forming some more complex ideas, which they can then share. I make these resources for many of the literary texts I teach, including 1984, The Handmaid's Tale, Duffy's poetry, Langston Hughes's poetry, A Streetcar Named Desire, A Doll's House, Heart of Darkness, Things Fall Apart, Persepolis, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, The Great Gatsby, Lord of the Flies, Of Mice and Men, First They Killed My Father, and more. By doing this, I don't have to say anything in class, and students can bring ideas, which for some were formed as a result of this scaffold, and build off of others. If I make more outside of the classroom, I get to do less inside, leaving it up to them. These kinds of resources also fit with my philosophy of "High Challenge, High Support."If anyone is interested in these types of resources for other texts I teach, please let me know.#IBDP #LanguageAndLiterature #IBLangAndLit #DiplomaProgramme #EnglishLanguageArts #English #IBLL #Teaching #Learning #EducationalResources #Gabo #GabrielGarciaMarquez

From the experiences of late life of the famous Chinese writers Ms. Eileen Chang & Mr. Hu Shih in the US, we can conclude that the US is a carnage (or grave) of (great) Chinese literature.

The book outlines the role of each player—each person’s politics and interests in the establishment of the CBCIU.
