As an ultimate spell, Crimson Beam was made powerful. With Leech and healing abilities, this spell is great in a variety of situations.

Ward of the Damned

Shielding skills are essential when taking on bosses, with Ward of the Damned being the best option. This is due to the summoning ability, causing up to 5 skeletons to spawn.

Void

Void is an essential AoE/crowd control ability. With pulling abilities, you can deal damage to multiple enemies at the same time.

Merciless Charge

As an ultimate spell for Chaos Magic, this spell provides damage in a large area while also causing you to dash forward, deal damage, stun, and Ignite.

Death Knight

Summoning skills are very powerful, and Death Knight is no exception. This skill is essential if you are fighting a tough boss in PvE.

Arctic Leap

Arctic Leap places high due to the sheer amount of damage caused, as well as the ability to freeze for 6 full seconds.

Army of the Dead

As a summoning spell, this will also be helpful for crowd control and overall increasing your damage output.

Ice Block

This ultimate spell protects and heals you (or an ally) while dealing damage at the same time. While you won't be able to move, it's ideal when facing a group of enemies.

Chaos Volley

This is a classic spell that shoots two bolts, dealing damage and Igniting enemies. Although it's not the strongest, it's a solid option for early to mid-game content.

Ball Lightning

For the most part, Storm spells aren't the strongest, but Ball Lightning is an exception. This is a powerful AoE that causes the Static effect while dealing damage.

Spectral Guardian

Spectral Guardian is an ultimate Illusion Magic spell that summons a powerful guardian that attacks and shields you. Again, summoning skills are great, especially in PvE content when you are playing alone.

Raging Tempest

As an ultimate spell for Storm Magic, Raging Tempest allows you to bounce between multiple enemies and deal damage. In total, this does a shopping 525% damage split between all hit enemies, which is a lot.

Heart Strike

Blood magic spells are all great, with Heart Strike serving as one of the ultimate spells. This will deal damage and heal, which is an ideal combination.

Volatile Arachnid

This Unholy Magic ultimate spell not only summons a giant spider, but it will also summon exploding spiderlings. Unholy spells summon skeletons when Condemned enemies die, and this spell has the power to Condemn and kill enemies, which means even more summoned entities.

Blood Rage

This is another Blood Magic spell that heals while dealing damage. Overall, any skill that does both at the same time is great.

Mosquito

While underrated, Mosquito is a great spell that deals damage to enemies who are attracted to its summon location. Like Void (mentioned in S-tier), this is ideal for grouping up enemies.

Chaos Barrage

This Chaos Magic ultimate spell deals a lot of damage, but it's not too out-of-the-ordinary. This spell launches four orbs, but there are better ultimate spells out there.

Mist Trance

This spell combines a shield with the ability to teleport, which is perfect for tough battles against multiple enemies.

Frost Barrier

Frost Barrier blocks damage, but isn't too exceptional when compared to other blocking abilities. Still, the Chill effect can come in handy in some situations.

Blood Fountain

Once again, this is a Blood Magic spell that heals and deals damage. The pillars summoned are stationary, which isn't the most helpful, but it can come in handy if you are fighting a boss in a specific area.

Bone Explosion

This spell causes bones to explode from the ground, which can be powerful, but the stationary aspect of the spell holds it back from being placed higher.

Chaos Barrier

This Chaos Magic blocking spell will block damage and deal a relatively small amount of damage. In terms of blocking spells, Ward of the Damned is by far the best.

Soulburn

This is a unique spell that drains the life of enemies, which in turn heals you. Soulburn also silences enemies.

Cold Snap

Cold Snap is not a typical blocking spell, but it can still block incoming damage while dealing magic itself, along with Freeze. As such, this is a great spell to bolster your defenses.

Spectral Wolf

The wolf summoned in this spell will bounce between enemies, but the damage output isn't too impressive when compared to other summoning spells.

Corrupted Skull

Corrupted Skull launches a projectile while summoning a skeleton. This spell isn't bad, but there are better Unholy Magic spells to choose from.

Phantom Aegis

This is another average blocking ability that does not deal damage.

Power Surge

This spell doesn't deal damage; instead, it boosts you or an ally's movement and attack. This can be helpful, but if you are already strong enough, then this skill isn't helpful.

Lightning Typhoon

Lightning Typhoon is one of the two Storm Magic ultimate spells, but it's weaker than Raging Tempest (the other option).

Frost Bat

This is another spell that sends an elemental projectile out; while this is damaging, it's fairly similar to others such as Chaos Volley and Corrupted Skull.

Sanguine Coil

Again, we have another projectile skill. This one provides some healing to both you and an ally, but if you are playing solo, then this effect isn't used.

Aftershock

With Aftershock, you can deal a line of damage leading to the targeted enemies. This deals a fair amount of damage, but enemies can easily just walk out of its path.

Ice Nova

Like Aftershock, Ice Nova is stationary, which may be useless if you and the enemies in question are moving around a lot.

Blood Rite

This is the blocking spell for Blood Magic. Blood Rite blocks and heals while pushing enemies away. The pushing effect can be inconvenient in some situations, placing this lower on our list than other Blood Magic spells.

Wraith Spear

Wraith Spear causes you to dash forward and launch a projectile. Like many other spells in this tier, it's not bad; it's just average.

Discharge

This spell has several effects (such as blocking, pulling, and stunning), but overall, it's not the strongest. Again, it's not bad, but there are better options to choose from that have appeared higher on our list.

Lightning Curtain

This spell summons a "curtain of lightning", but it proves unhelpful if you are not one to stay put and hide behind a wall.

Wisp Dance

Wisp Dance is the lowest-placing ultimate spell, as it doesn't deal much damage or provide a lot of healing. The wisps can be fired, but the damage isn't impressive here either.

Shadowbolt

This will launch a slow projectile, but there are better Blood Magic skills out there.

Cyclone

This low-placing Storm Magic spell summons a cyclone, but it's not powerful enough to make the skill worth it.

Crystal Lance

Another spell that summons an average projectile!

Polarity Shift

This spell launches a projectile, causing you to swap places with the target. This isn't always needed, and won't work against bosses. If you do target a boss, you will instead just be teleported to them.
